The Prodigal & The Samaritan

Join in an invitation to enter into the heart and
soul of the Gospel. This brief morning of prayer
will lead participants into the liberating power of
the entire Gospel of Jesus the Christ. Gospel
proclamation, exegesis and prayers will boldly
challenge us to be confronted by Jesus’ stories
in our contemporary world and allow the Spirit
of God to fashion us into God’s image.

and hope and longing. Too often, we wait for
God only in extraordinary places and events in
our lives, yet God’s incarnation in Jesus tells us
that God appears in the ordinary and embraces
it. How do we wait for God and welcome God
in our everyday lives, in familiar places?

Lectio Divina:
A Way of Prayer, A Way of Life

The morning will focus on this ancient practice
of scriptural prayer, which for the desert fathers
and mothers was also a way of life. Our time
together will include the history and background
of this practice, instruction on how we can
make it a way of life, along with a guided
experience.

The Radically Amazing Universe

Presenter: Judy Cannato
Judy Cannato, spiritual director and author of
several books, is rapidly capturing the publicimagination with her new book, entitled
Radical Amazement, which examines the
harmony of science and spirituality. She explains,
in simple terms, the connectedness of all
creation and our part in it. The day includes an
introduction to the universe story with theological
underpinnings.

This weekend will consist of group conferences,
a reconciliation service and a celebration of the
Eucharist. It offers participants a time of private
reflection and relaxation in a setting conducive
to prayer.

During this six-week workshop, which correlates
with the fourth week of the Spiritual
Exercises of St. Ignatius, participants will grow
in claiming the freedom and joy that belongs to
all Christians in the Risen Christ. Sessions
include introduction to various ways of praying
the Easter graces and require a commitment to
pray daily for at least 20 minutes and attend
weekly group sharing.
Fee: $70 for the series (includes book)

The Office of Christian Formation for the
Diocese of Baton Rouge has approved
these programs for credit.
Basic Myers-Briggs

Presenter: Sr. Lucy Silvio, CSJ
In this workshop, participants will learn basic
background and understanding of Carl Jung’s
theory of the development of preferred
behaviors, and they will be trained in the
interpretation of their Myers-Briggs assessment.

assessment)
